I am the sole artist behind Quirky Dog Artwork. Though I am half French and half Brazilian, I am based in the Washington, DC metro area. I began drawing and painting in high school and haven't stopped since, having taken studio art throughout high school and culminating in AP art. I began my college career as a Graphic Design major, but quickly learned that I much preferred the fine art world. Since then I have worked as a veterinary technician and a National zoo intern, fostering my love for animals. Eventually I started my own business, Quirky Dog Artwork, combining my love of animals and art by doing custom pet portraits.

We will be in constant contact with the client, making sure all needs are met. From the canvas size, to the picture the artist will paint from, to the paper design, we will communicate with you from start to finish.
All edges of the canvas will be painted to a clean finish, so no framing is needed. When you receive your beautiful custom portrait, all you will have to do is hang it on your wall so you and your pet can admire it!
Choose a few good quality, high-resolution images of your pet. An Email them to me to get started.
I will sketch the best photo of your choice onto canvas and send you a proof for approval.
Once approved, the painting process will begin. It takes 4-6 weeks for this to happen.
Meanwhile, I work with you to design your custom background.
Proof of the finished painting will be emailed to the you for approval.
Once approved, the custom paper will be applied to the background.
